AI slide generators such as Gamma and Canva Magic Studio build formatted slide decks from a prompt, an outline, or an uploaded document. Users can paste in a needs assessment summary or an activity outline, and the tool returns structured slides, headings, layouts, and images. Both tools support brand kits, so fonts and colors stay consistent across branded slide decks. For CME/CE teams, these tools can be used to produce planning committee briefings, faculty orientation, department updates, and annual program analysis summaries. Gamma exports to PowerPoint and PDF; Canva can connect to a broader design library. These tools can shift work from building slides one at a time to editing and overseeing a generated draft.
ACCME’s Learn to Thrive 2027 Call for Proposals is open through October 6, 2026. Three submission tracks are available: Inspire & Teach! Sessions, CE Effectiveness & Best Practices: Engaging in CME Research Projects, and Better Together: Working Groups. The Call for Proposals Info Sheet outlines guidelines and submission details. Learn to Thrive 2027 takes place in person at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, May 25–27, 2027. The meeting features opportunities to learn from experts about learning science, team-based care, accreditation standards and best practices, and CE research, among other key areas. Registration opens in late fall 2026.
Federal health officials convened a closed-door clinical AI demo day at FDA headquarters this past July, bringing together the FDA, CMS, and leaders from 10 health-AI companies, including Anthropic, Microsoft AI, Amazon One Medical, Hippocratic AI, and Welldoc. The meeting was intended to give regulators firsthand exposure to current AI-enabled clinical tools as federal agencies seek to expand their use safely. Participating companies also described their technologies and perspectives directly to policymakers at a formative point for clinical-AI regulation and reimbursement policy. The event highlights the growing influence of both major technology companies and venture-backed startups in shaping the federal approach to clinical AI adoption.
